so yeah, it's been awhile since I've last updated. I seem to suck with this whole blogging business. exciting news . . . hmmm. well, travis and I decided last minute to drive home from Boston. I was at work on Monday night and realized that I wanted to go home instead of staying around the Boston area, so I IMed him and told him and he said, "well, do you want to?" so I finished up an application I had to send out, packed up, and drove 23 straight hours home. arrived Wednesday morning, stayed until Friday, and started the long drive back on Friday night. got back to Wellesley Saturday at 9pm. pretty spontaneous :e)

a week and a half left before break. standing between me and home is thesis work, two finals, and a critique for my linguistics class. so close . . .

So it's been awhile since I've updated.  School has started, and I'm under the stress that Wellesley always seems to impose upon me.  I am applying to present at a big presentation we hold every fall here, and that's due on Monday.  I have to turn in my thesis outline and preliminary bib by Wednesday (and I have NO IDEA what I'm going to write about).  I am thinking about applying for a Watson Fellowship, and that requires a lot of thinking and writing.  And grad school is also looming in the future, which = GREs.

I've moved into a wonderful, gorgeous room that overlooks the lake.  I can see it from sitting in my uber comfy papasan chair that I recently acquired.  It's a hard transition, though, because I was so used to spending allllllll of my time with Travis since we were living together, but now have to make do with 20 minute phone conversations and weekend visits.  *sigh*

Off to do yet more reading . . .
